Presenting a superb hand-made Mughal miniature portrait painting. You are invited to relive the glory of the Mughal empire with this classic masterpiece of Indian history.
This is a beautiful and flamboyant handmade painting of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan his four sons with two courtiers. The sons were Dārā Shikōh, Murād Bakhsh, Shah Shujāʿ, and Aurangzeb. In September 1657 Shah Jahān fell ill, precipitating a struggle for succession between his four sons. The victor, Aurangzeb, declared himself emperor in 1658 and strictly confined Shah Jahān in Agra Fort until his death.
The portrait art reflects the royal status and authority of the emperor and also reflects his family values. The earthly wealth and charm is implied by the magnificence of their dress and jewelry. The art is surrounded in an exquisite floral border.
This artwork has been painted by Mr. Suresh Lohar, who is an award winning Mughal miniature artist from Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
